Reducers are designed to accepted ASHRAE standards and give superior
pressure drop characteristics.
All Reducers are precision-spun in one piece. The extra smooth
galvanized steel with good drawing qualities gives added strength and
prevents corrosion. There are not welds or protrusions to cause leaks,
turbulence, or noise.
These sections are highly adaptable, not only as a straight reducer, but
in branch take-offs, in tees, etc. Their use, since it eliminates costly
hand fit-up and welding, results in a superior fitting in every respect
at a greatly reduced cost.
Also,
available in aluminum, stainless steel, and paint grip
The standard reducer is 7” long with a stop on the small end to serve
as a bead to accept spiral pipes. The standard reducer is male (fitting)
size both ends, with 2” slip on the small end, 4” in the taper, and 1”
straight on the large end. Because of our m ethod of spinning, most sizes
can be produced with 3” straight on the large end so a bead can be
installed when the reducer is shipped loose. We can also upon request
extend the small end to 4” straight in the event a damper is to be
installed. Either end or both ends can be made female (pipe) size when
required.
Standard reducers can also be used as conical takeoff from rectangular
duct by flanging the large end and using screws.
3/4” flange on the big end
